Acceptable Use Policy
This Acceptable Use Policy (the “AUP”) sets out what is and is not allowed when using the unoblox gateway, marketplace, and the upstream Models it routes to. It is part of, and incorporated into, our Terms of Service. Defined terms have the meaning given there.
1.Overview
You are responsible for your use of the Service, for your users, and for your Input and how you use Output. You must use the Service lawfully, in good faith, and in a way that does not harm others, the Service, or the Providers. This AUP applies in addition to applicable law (including the Information Technology Act, 2000, the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023, and the DPDP Act, 2023) and to each Provider’s own usage policies.
2.Prohibited content
You must not use the Service to generate, request, store, or distribute content that:
- is unlawful, or promotes or facilitates illegal activity, terrorism, or violence;
- sexually exploits or endangers minors, or is child sexual abuse material (CSAM) — such material is reported and handled as required by law;
- is non-consensual intimate imagery, or sexual content involving real individuals without consent;
- harasses, threatens, defames, or incites hatred or violence against a person or group, including on grounds of religion, caste, sex, place of birth, or other protected characteristics;
- infringes intellectual-property, privacy, or publicity rights, or discloses another person’s personal data without a lawful basis;
- is fraudulent, deceptive, or intended to impersonate a person or entity, including creating deep-fakes or synthetic media to deceive;
- is designed to manipulate elections or spread unlawful disinformation; or
- contains malware, or instructions to build weapons or cause mass harm.
3.Prohibited conduct
- Using the Service to violate any law or the rights of others, or to facilitate another party doing so.
- Generating or deploying automated systems (including bots or agents) in ways that spam, defraud, or deceive people, or that fail to disclose AI-generated content where disclosure is required.
- Attempting to re-identify individuals from de-identified data, or scraping personal data unlawfully.
- Using the Service to build a competing model by extracting or distilling Provider models beyond what the Provider permits.
- Reselling, sublicensing, or providing the Service to third parties except as expressly permitted in writing.
4.Security & platform integrity
- Do not probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service, or breach or circumvent authentication, rate limits, quotas, budgets, guardrails, or other security or access controls.
- Do not reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service or attempt to derive source code, except to the limited extent such restriction is prohibited by law.
- Do not interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service, introduce malicious code, or gain unauthorised access to any system, account, or data.
- Do not share, sell, or expose API keys, or use another user’s keys or account without authorisation.
- Rate limits & fair use. You must respect published and applied rate limits, quotas, and fair-use expectations. We may throttle, queue, or block traffic that is abusive, excessive, or threatens stability, and we may require you to reduce load. Each API key has a per-minute request limit (60 unless you set another), and Freemium Models carry a fair-use limit, currently 10 requests per minute per workspace; see our rate-limit and Freemium documentation.
- Do not create or use multiple accounts, identities or payment instruments to obtain promotional credit more than once or to get around free-tier limits.
Responsible disclosure
If you discover a security vulnerability, please report it to us via our contact form rather than exploiting it. We appreciate good-faith research conducted without harming users or data.
5.Model & provider policies
Each Model is served by a Provider that has its own acceptable-use and content policies. When you invoke a Model, you must comply with that Provider’s policies in addition to this AUP. Some Providers prohibit particular uses or content categories; where their rules are stricter, the stricter rule applies. unoblox may block or re-route requests to comply with Provider requirements or law.
6.High-risk & regulated uses
Unless expressly agreed with us in writing, you must not use the Service as a substitute for professional judgement in high-risk or regulated domains, including medical, legal, financial, employment, insurance, credit, housing, or safety-critical decisions, where an error could cause significant harm. If you operate in a regulated domain, you are responsible for meeting applicable requirements — including human review, disclosures, consent, non-discrimination, and record-keeping — and for clearly informing your users when they are interacting with, or receiving, AI-generated output.
7.Reporting abuse
To report content or use that may violate this AUP, contact us via our contact form. Where the matter concerns personal data or a grievance under Indian law, you may also contact our Grievance Officer via our contact form. Please include enough detail for us to investigate.
8.Enforcement
We may investigate suspected violations and take action we consider appropriate, including warning you, applying guardrails, throttling, removing or blocking content or requests, suspending or terminating keys, Workspaces, or accounts, and reporting to authorities where required. Where practicable and lawful, we will give notice and an opportunity to cure, but we may act immediately where there is risk of harm, legal exposure, or threat to the Service or Providers. Enforcement does not entitle you to a refund of consumed usage.
9.Changes
We may update this AUP to reflect new features, risks, Provider requirements, or legal developments. The updated version takes effect on its “Last updated” date, and continued use constitutes acceptance.
10.Contact
Everything reaches us through our contact form: choose Legal for questions about this AUP, Support to report abuse, or Security for a security report.
