GPT-6.1 Sol is live on Unoblox: a million-token context window for complex work
GPT-6.1 Sol is now on Unoblox. Explore its 1.05M-token context, capabilities, comparison with GPT-6 Sol and Astra, and INR pricing.
GPT-6.1 Sol is now available on Unoblox. OpenAI positions it close to GPT-6 Astra in capability for complex coding, computer use and professional work, at a lower cost. For teams building with Unoblox, it brings a new option for demanding text and code workloads through a familiar API, with pricing in rupees. OpenAI’s GPT-6 guide
The model is live in our catalog as openai/gpt-6.1-sol. Here is what it offers, how it compares with the previous Sol and Astra, and how to start using it.
What GPT-6.1 Sol brings
1.05 million tokens of context. The model can accommodate large collections of input in one context. That opens room for substantial code, long documents and extended task history. Context capacity is a limit, not a guarantee of perfect recall throughout every input.
Up to 128,000 output tokens. OpenAI documents a large output allowance for extended work. The actual response length still depends on your request and endpoint limits.
Adjustable reasoning. Five levels—low, medium, high, xhigh and max—let developers choose how much reasoning to allocate. Medium is the default; none and minimal are not supported.
Structured output and streaming. OpenAI documents both capabilities, useful for applications that need machine-readable results or progressive responses. Its native model also accepts image input and supports function calling through Responses. Official model specifications
What can you build with it?
OpenAI identifies complex coding, computer use and professional work as core applications. Its native Responses integration supports tools including web/file search, code interpreter, shell, computer use and MCP. OpenAI model tools
For the text-and-code access currently listed on Unoblox, practical starting points include:
- Software development: reasoning across a supplied module, explaining a difficult failure, or proposing an implementation with tests.
- Document-heavy applications: working through a long specification or comparing supplied documents to produce a detailed answer.
- Professional analysis: turning substantial source material into a structured report, technical proposal or decision brief.
These are application ideas based on the documented model profile, rather than Unoblox benchmark results.
GPT-6.1 Sol vs GPT-6 Sol vs GPT-6 Astra
The clearest commercial difference is where GPT-6.1 Sol sits between the original Sol and Astra.
| OpenAI specification | GPT-6 Sol | GPT-6.1 Sol | GPT-6 Astra |
|---|---|---|---|
| Context window | 1.05M tokens | 1.05M tokens | 1.05M tokens |
| Maximum output | 128K tokens | 128K tokens | 128K tokens |
| Standard input rate, relative to GPT-6 Sol | 1× | 1× | 5× |
| Standard output rate, relative to GPT-6 Sol | 1× | 1× | 5× |
| Cached input rate, relative to GPT-6 Sol | 1× | 0.5× | 5× |
These are relative comparisons of OpenAI’s published rates, with GPT-6 Sol set to 1× in each pricing row. They are not Unoblox prices. GPT-6.1 Sol retains Sol’s standard input/output rates, halves its cached-input rate, and has standard input/output rates 80% below Astra’s. That is a token-rate comparison, not an 80% saving on every completed task. OpenAI model comparison
The base pricing applies to prompts up to 272K input tokens. OpenAI specifies higher rates for longer prompts; processing tiers and other charges can also change the bill. OpenAI pricing conditions
Our reading of OpenAI’s positioning: choose GPT-6.1 Sol when you want substantial reasoning capability with a lower token budget than Astra; keep Astra in consideration for the most demanding work where maximum quality takes priority. Existing GPT-6 Sol users gain a clear reason to evaluate the new version without an increase in standard input/output token rates. OpenAI does not claim that Sol matches Astra on every task. Available now on Unoblox, priced in rupees
At the time of this announcement, Unoblox’s live catalog lists:
| GPT-6.1 Sol catalog rate | Per 1 million tokens |
|---|---|
| Input | ₹192.57 |
| Output | ₹962.83 |
These are catalog rates observed on 2 October 2026. Applicable platform fees and taxes are additional; check the live listing and current billing terms for your workload. Unoblox adds its ₹-native account and billing experience to access through an OpenAI-compatible gateway. Live Unoblox listing
Integration note: Unoblox currently lists this route as text-in/text-out and shows a Chat Completions quickstart. OpenAI’s native image inputs, hosted tools and Responses capabilities should not be assumed to be exposed by that route. Tool calling for GPT-6.1 Sol requires Responses in OpenAI’s API. Check gateway support before building those features into your integration. OpenAI endpoint guidance
